The next update for Windows is coming on August 2nd and it will be free to the over 350 million devices already running Windows 10. For those not running Windows 10, the clock is ticking down to the July 29th date for the free upgrade offer that Microsoft put in place.

In addition to continuing to improve standard features as well as security, the Anniversary edition will also include improvements in inking with Windows Ink, updates to Cortana, improvements to the Edge browser including some extensions and support for HTML5, CSS3, and ARIA, the additions to Xbox Play Anywhere. Many of the features that are new or improved in the Windows 10 Anniversary edition were mentioned at Microsoft Build and other shows earlier this year. You can see a review of some of the announcements from Build in the slideshow I recently posted.

Features such as Windows Hello, the Anniversary edition SDK, Ink, the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), and a lot more are mentioned in the slides.
