I spent most of last week out at Microsoft in Redmond at the MVP Summit. It
was a great time with lots of great, hard-core information. There was even a
chance to bump into a few MVPs from CodeGuru including our very own JohnCz
and gstercken.
While I’d be thrilled to tell you all the gory details of the event, I can’t.
Most was presented under a non-disclosure agreement. I will say that the VC++
team was very pro-active in asking for, accepting, and responding to feedback.
The other teams were equally receptive as well. Look for great things to come in
future releases of the Microsoft products.
While at Microsoft I had a chance to talk with the Codezone group as well.
This is the group that we (Codeguru) have been working with in regard to Visual
Studio 2005. If you look at the help system in Visual Studio 2005, you
will find community options and a Community tab. When searching, results will be
included that list articles from Codeguru! Very cool!
In addition to having Codeguru content found in Visual Studio 2005, you can
also find the community search elsewhere as well. It is also on Microsoft’s
portal site, Codezone. From that site you can also use the community search to
find Codeguru articles.
In the future you may even find this search in other locations around
Microsoft’s online presence.
What does this mean? It means that if you have a relevant article published
on CodeGuru, then you may find it as help on Codezone or within Visual Studio!
Until next week!
Brad!
