This has been a busy week in the developer world and it is only Tuesday!
Microsoft is having their Partners conference
(Microsoft WPC09) in New Orleans this week. This is an event with a number
of announcements. In fact, a few include the release of a Technology
Preview for Office 2010 (invitation only), comments that Windows 7 with
release to manufacturing this month, more talk on the Windows Marketplace
for Mobile, more changes in licensing for Windows, an unveiling of the
Windows Azure Platform Business Model, and much more.
One area that I’ve been watching a bit is the changes within Surface. The Surface group is now offering a “QuickStart” for creating Microsoft Surface applications. You can get up and going with Surface development by checking out the Surface QuickStart web site. You do need to be in the Microsoft Partner program to gain access, but this should be a simple enrollment.
Over at Adobe, they’ve been busy too. This week they have announced Adobe ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion Builder are both now in public betas. As no surprise, both now have greater Flash integration. You can find these betas at http://adobe.com/go/coldfusion_builder_beta_download.
Until next week…
Brad!
