I’ve not blogged as much as I’d like. It isn’t because I’ve not wanted to, but rather because I’ve been focused on a number of initiatives for our sites. One of these initiatives has launched.
You will now find a Cloud Development Project Center added to our Developer.com site. This project center provides a number of white papers and some links on cloud computing. If you haven’t jumped into cloud computing yet — and even in you have — then you should find these cloud resources useful. We wanted to provide information that would help get you started and help get you the information you would need as a developer for working with cloud computing.
We have a number of papers written by Jeffrey Juday. Jeffrey has been writing on Codeguru for years, so many of you will be familiar with him. We also have a new paper that will be posted soon by Vipul Patel. Vipul’s paper will help you understand some of the basic concepts around the cloud by providing a quick reference to much of the terminology being used. Jeffrey’s papers dig into the various aspects of cloud computing including cloud computing options, data storage options, working with networking and identity, and finally information on navigating cloud services. I’ve also included a few links to some of our other cloud-based resource areas so that you have a single destination to start your learning.
