The number of virtual reality devices available is increasing, but they are not all created equally. Out of curiosity, I decided to compare the specifications on five of the virtual reality devices that are talked about the most. Below, I’ll provide a table with specifications for the following:

  • Oculus Rift
  • HTC Vive
  • Microsoft HoloLens
  • Magic Leap
  • Meta 2

In the future, I’ll look to update this with a few additional devices such as:

  • Fove O
  • Razer OSVR HDK 2
  • Sony Playstation VR

What I am not covering in this post are the ‘fake’ virtual reality devices such as the Samsung Gear VR. The devices that operate as cases for a phone are a different category that deserve their own coverage.
