I’m a fan of Xbox, the Kinect, and the technology being used. That is no surprise if you’ve read many of my blog posts. A video making the rounds as a result of being at the CES show is IllumiRoom. This proof-of-concept research project is taking one step closer to full room immersion by projecting video onto the walls around the television and Xbox system. The game or presentation goes beyond the television and/or monitor. The best way to understand is to see the video, which I’ve embedded below.

When you consider this along with the OmniTouch demos Microsoft has done in the past, you can see that things are getting interesting!
