Microsoft released Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 to manufacturing today. Both will be available for general availability on October 26th.

If you have an MSDN subscription, you’ll get access to the final version of Windows 8 on August 15th. The same is true of TechNet subscribers.

Others Microsoft programs will also be able to get access before the October 26th date as well. This includes Microsoft Software Assurance customers, Partners on the Microsoft Partner network, volume licensers, and others. For more, check out Brandon LeBlanc’s blog or Steven Sinofsky’s post.
