Leslie Giblett, the Microsoft Visual C++ Box Program Manager, announced that Visual Studio .NET 2004 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is scheduled to release this summer. This release is expected to release to manufacturing (RTM) in June following a beta later this month.

This first service pack for Visual Studio .NET 2003 will offer a number of fixes including security patches as well as fixing the top 50% of the issues identified by Watson (Microsoft’s Online Crash Analysis tool).
