Don’t count their kingdom as gone yet — they are only up for sale. This week Borland shows that they have not abandoned the development tools world. Rather, they have announced new versions of their Turbo products.

The Borland Developers Tools Group announced they are relaunching their Turbo brand of products. The Turbo line will be single language versions of the Borland Developer Studio. Languages to be available are Turbo Delphi for Win32, Turbo Delphi for .NET, Turbo C++, and Turbo C#. You’ll be able to download a free Explorer version of these or you can purchase a Professional Edition.

Before there was Microsoft in the lead with Development tools, there was Borland with its Turbo C++ and other tools. As David Intersimone, vice president of developer relations and chief evangelist at Borland, stated “The Turbo products enable simplified but feature-rich software development via a user-friendly development tool for building and delivering software applications. “
