Microsoft has released a third beta for Internet Explorer 7. You can download this beta from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx. In this third beta, Microsoft states that reliability, compatibility, and security are all improved.

While beta 2 was suppose to be feature complete, Microsoft has made a few changes in beta 3. This includes:

  • the ability to add the email button back onto the tool-bar.
  • the ability to reorder tabs by dragging them.
  • the ability to do horizontal scrolling while zooming
  • additional security fixes

These changes come to the numerous changes already in Internet Explorer 7 including the addition of tabs (finally), support for RSS feeds, an instant search box, a favorites center, page zooming, advanced printing, Phishing filter, a security status bar, address bar protection, URL handling security, parental controls, cross-domain barriers, improvements to CSS, Alpha channeling in PNG files, improved AJAX support, and much more.

Of course, you should remember, this is still a beta and betas should be used with caution!
