This white paper provides an introduction to Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Microsoft Business Solutions – Great Plains) and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Microsoft Business Solutions – Navision). The paper examines the similarities and highlights the key differences between the two, detailing how each can help organizations maximize efficiency, improve productivity and generate a fast return on investment (ROI).

Microsoft Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV are well established business
management solutions that have much in common, e.g., both are ICAEW accredited.
Each solution uses a proprietary code base. Dynamics NAV was developed in
C/SIDE, providing an object oriented development environment. Dynamics GP was
developed using Dexterity. The paper includes a chart that compares and contrasts the features of both products. There’s also a helpful bullet list to help you decide which product is a better fit for your business.
