Developers will have to wait until at least September 1st to play with the official Microsoft release of Mango, but if they’re interested in flashing a leaked copy, they’re in luck. Developers from the XDA-Developers forum, well known for releasing amazing Android ROMs, announced the release, which is confirmed to work on seven devices so far.

Like many ROMs, the installation of the Mango update has to be done on a Windows Phone that is already running a specific beta version of the software. The process is daunting to some, however many developers and hackers enjoy the process almost as much as trying out the new OS. Visit the XDA-Developers forum.
