The way Microsoft, and the industry, is spinning it, Windows 8 is the next holy grail of technology. This OS upgrade is going to bring together the world of tablets, desktops, laptops and mobile devices, all riding on to of the ubiquitous internet.


Microsoft may actually be able to pull this one off. They have focused on the tech trends that are leading the industry, and built an operating system that was designed with that focus in mind. The Redmond company doesn’t want to kill the desktop PC, nor make the world convert to tablets, but rather make them both part of the future, using an OS that reflects the trends of today.
