Microsoft’s business collaboration platform, SharePoint, is very popular, and its use is rapidly growing, but many potential users are still unclear as to what it can do, how it is different from the free SharePoint Foundation, and what the advantages to using it are.
For those who do not already know about it, SharePoint may be used as a content management system for an internal or external website, but it can also be used as a document management system, a business search portal, and many other ways.
