Microsoft this week released update build 8107 for the Windows Phone 7 platform, providing solutions to problems such as the disappearing keyboard, location privacy bug and voice mail notifications. Additional features of the update include enhanced Gmail syncing and a fix for an issue with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
No fix was provided, however, for the ongoing SMS bug, which crashes the Windows Phone Messaging hub in response to a user opening a text, Windows Live or Facebook message that has been created with malicious intent. Currently users have to hard reset their devices in order to regain access to the Message hub.
