Salesforce Targeted by Microsoft Dynamics CRM Updates

This week’s update to Microsoft Dynamics CRM includes new social networking and cloud services functionality designed to enhance the customer relationship management platform–largely designed to square off against one of its largest competitors–Salesforce.

As Brad Wilson, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Product Management Group’s general manager, said in the announcement, “By bringing together new social-collaboration capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM with familiar collaboration technologies such as Office, SharePoint and Lync, businesses will be able to expand their relationships with customers and gain even deeper insight and understanding.”
