This week Motorola announced the release of its RhoElements, an enterprise mobile web application framework. The announcement was expected since Motorola announced the acquisition of Rhomobile, a cross-platform mobile application development platform, in July of this year.


The RhoElements framework is based on HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3, and provides developers with support for HTML5 features including app caching, web storage and optimized network usage, as well as offline functionality. Motorola will eventually be releasing other cross-platform development software, as well as cloud services for its partners and customers.
