Today Microsoft released its Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, which includes RapidStart, a new cloud-based Azure Service tool for implementing a Q&A ERP system using AX 2012. Microsoft is using the cloud service to expedite and ease the deployment process.


As in the past, Microsoft is leveraging extended functionality using the strengths of an existing product. Although they could leverage Azure with Dynamics AX 2012, it appears they have decided instead to continue to instead leverage Office.
