Applying the thought that most smartphone users would rather have the movie app vs. downloading the actual movie, the new Paramount app is for the movie “School of Rock”. Its part of a batch of ten new film apps which will also include “Superman” and “GIJoe”. The new “School of Rock” app was built using Silverlight. Basically, Microsoft’s version of Adobe Flash. The new movie apps are similar to DVDs in that they are loaded with additional content which will include trailers and other special features.
