Many analysts agree that PaaS will become the dominant platform as the Cloud continues to evolve and open-source solutions appear to be taking the lead and Red Hat has just given that lead a great edge with their introduction of OpenShift. As with most other Paas solutions, OpenShift is built on JBoss. The extra edge is all of the languages supported by OpenShif. They include Python, PHP, Java, Spring, Rails, CDI, Zend Frameworks, Symphony, Java EE just to name a few. The big question becomes, which solution will prevail, Open Source or Licensed?
