This week it was announced that Microsoft will be lowering the pricing on its Windows Azure storage service, with smaller cuts coming for the masses, and larger discounts for Microsoft’s volume buyers. A general discount of one percent per gigabyte was announced.
The way it was explained, from 15 to 14 cents a month will apply to those storing less than a terabyte of data, which drops down to 12.5 cents for companies using as much as 50TB, then dropping to 11.2 cents per gigabyte a month for even larger data volumes.
