Despite their best efforts to date, the new Microsoft Windows Phone 7 smartphone OS simply is not meeting expectations. Yesterday’s Dive Into Mobile conference, Joe Belfiore, Microsoft’s Chief Mobile officer all but ignored the questioning around the current Windows Phone 7 sales which kicked off a slurry of speculation that numbers had to be worse then suspect. This must also be the reasoning behind the software giants latest hunt for another 40 people to add to its Windows Phone 7 team. Jobs listings began to appear in late November on Microsoft’s careers website and the titles range from software and hardware engineers as well as user experience designers and public relations managers. Each position is based in Redmond, Wash., so bring your hat and gloves.
