Microsoft China released Xiaobing in late May, allowing WeChat users to have conversations about how Windows Phone users manage Cortana based on pre-stored data. However, Tencent (WeChat’s parent company) announced in early June that it has blocked the use of Xiaobing to protect users’ security, citing privacy concerns about Xiaobing leaking details of private user conversations and hence “violating the platform’s regulations and harming user experience.” Continue reading this story here.
