These updates are to include support for HTML5 and Microsoft’s Silverlight runtime. A major update codenamed “Mango” is set to release in August or September or 2011 which is a world away from the originally rumored release date of January or February also scheduled to include the Windows staple, copy and paste feature. These two added Web related features may not seem like game-changers for the fledgling OS but they will move Microsoft’s mobile browser into a more competitive spot among its competition.
