Microsoft’s primary goal of Windows Blue is for the OS run on a broader array of form factors of all sizes, better display, increased battery life and improved performance. Making Windows well suited for their planned release of a smaller version of the Surface tablets. Windows Blue will also address some of the complaints from critics of the OS and is an opportunity for Microsoft to respond to the customer feedback that they’ve been monitoring closely since the launch of Windows 8 and Windows RT.
