Nokia announced on Friday that the phone giant’s OS of choice would be the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system. The news however caused Nokia’s shares to plummet on the NYSE. The news for Microsoft should be substantially better in that such a major player in the smartphone market has made the decision to support the fledgling OS.
