Microsoft’s new Surface based tablet comes loaded with Windows 8 Pro and a solid-state drive promising much faster boot-up and over all read/write performance not to mention significantly improved battery life over the power hungry motor driven drives of earlier laptops leaving both Apple and Android tablets eating dust, but is it a tablet, or is it a laptop? Even still, future versions of Microsoft’s Surface will surely provide even more improved battery life as Intel continues to move to its more power-efficient Haswell generation of processors expected to roll-out in the second quarter later this year.
