When one thinks of Microsoft Kinect, typically the Xbox 360 and gaming come to mind. Since Microsoft released the Kinect for Windows SDK, however, developers have come up with some novel uses for Kinect. This week they announced the release of Kinect for Windows SDK Beta 2, and it is now available for download.

It was also recently announced that Microsoft would be releasing an Kinect SDK for businesses, which would enable developers to create business apps which use Kinect. The new SDK still supports Kinect on Windows 7, and includes APIs for raw sensor streams as well as human motion and skeletal tracking, along with sample code and documentation.
