It all starts at GitHub. To check out the latest version of Microsofts new release via the newly formed Microsoft Open Technologies subsidiary, log in to GitHub and download the Redis Windows In-Memory distributed database, currently available only in 32 bit. Some of the improvements in the latest pre-release involve the process of saving data on a disk while the Windows distribution segment will mimic the Fork/Copy On Write feature that Redis on Linux uses today, according to Microsoft.
