Microsoft Quietly Purchases Apps from iTap for Windows Server 2012 R2

Microsoft hardly promoted the release of these new RD apps, unless you consider buring the release information in a non-related enterprise cloud based solution, a big promotion. As we’ve learned more about it, Microsoft purchased some help in releasing their new iOS and Android Remote Desktop apps, along with a new Mac OS X program from an Austrian company named HLW Software who had released its own iTap Remote Desktop software for Windows for iOS, Android and Mac platforms. However they also announced this week that they will no longer be supporting these apps, obviously because Microsoft now owns them. Click here to read the story.
