Due to be released this summer, Office Communication Server 2007 will replace Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005 and is slated to be Microsoft solution to unified messaging. Microsoft’s goal for OCS is to provide a means to use a single communications device, no matter what the type of messages being used, ie; email, phone call, Instant Messaging, and be able to utilize a single address book and messaging tool to complete the task. The cost for Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 has not yet been announced.
