Microsoft is trying to inspire developers and administrators to begin developing with open Web technology for the upcoming release of their flagship office productivity suite, Office 2013. Developers will have access to VBA, Visual Basic Application and the new Office Cloud App Model which implements standards such as CSS, HTML, REST and Microsoft’s proprietary OData for creating Office apps. Any developer that can create Web Apps, is in line to create Office Apps and add to the functionality of the base Office components such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint thus allowing your business to further the use of these great toolsets.
