Microsoft’s Russian website released details about the upcoming IE9 three weeks prior to the release date. The new browser shows off new features like quick-release tabs and a Chrome-like address/search bar. All previous details have lacked any clue regarding the UI elements. If the site is accurate Internet Explorer 9 will look very similar to Google’s Chrome browser.

The Russian Microsoft site posted a screenshot and details about the upcoming release but it was pulled shortly after. At publishing, it was still available via Bing Cache.

The IE9 Beta should be available on 9/15. Microsoft will also host a launch event in San Francisco. Microsoft has yet to release a firm ship date although there has been speculation of a 4/2011 release date which would coincide with MIX 2011.
