Internet Explorer 9 was just released this past Monday pulling in just over 2.35 million downloads in the first 24 hours alone and Microsoft’s senior director of Internet Explorer, Ryan Gavin would like to thank you all. And while the download rate was consistent and respectable, it in no way compares to other browsers release numbers such as Firefox which topped the charts at over 8 million downloads in the first 24 hours in 2009.
