Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One will rely on DirectX 11-class API. We also know that Sony’s PS4 will feature its own interface. Microsoft stated today that the Xbox One graphics API is “Direct3D 11.x” and the Xbox One hardware will provide a new superset of Direct3D 11.2 functionality.
