Microsoft has been discussing plans for the successor to their BizTalk Server 2010 product for some time now but it wasn’t until last weeks PDC that the new cloud version of Microsoft’s plans for the BizTalk integration server became clear. Based on an October 28 post to the BizTalk Server Team blog, it looks like Microsoft is moving towards BizTalk vNext morphing into something like a “BizTalk Azure” offering similar to the Windows Azure and SQL Azure concept.
