The newest release of the Microsoft Azure Software development Kit is only a refresh of the previous build. The newest release contains the usual samples, APIs and tools but also contains a number of fixes.

  • Support for .NET Framework 4: This enables the development of .NET Framework 4 based services
  • Support for IntelliTrace: IntelliTrace to debug Microsoft Azure services

Microsoft spokespersons stated the following, “This release of Windows Azure SDK was refreshed on September 1, 2010. An existing installation of Windows Azure SDK can be upgraded to this release”.
