Microsoft APPEARS to Have the Answer to Buggy Code

A researcher working for Microsoft is proposing somewhat of a radical new idea and what very well could be a solution to the problem of buggy code. His proposed solution is to monitor the coders while they work in an effort to detect when they are struggling with a particular section and possibly introducing flaws into the programming. Some may think that its ultimate Big Brother but the paper released “Using Psycho-Physiological Measures to Assess Task Difficulty in Software Development” raises the possibility of leveraging eye-tracking technology, or electrodermal-activity, EDA sensors, and electroencephalogram, or EEG sensors to monitor programmers as they’re working. Continue reading here.
