Microsoft’s TypeScript upgrade to 0.9 is the JavaScript which provides developers with the ability to build more hearty JavaScript applications. The release introduces generics, the most publically requested feature to date and according to Microsoft’s C# Programming Guide, generics is “type parameters, which make it possible to design classes and methods that defer the specification of one or more types until the class or method is declared and instantiated by client code. Generics were first introduced to C# 2.0 and the common language runtime (CLR).
