Microsoft has announced that it has acquired SyntaxTree, the developers of the UnityVS plugin for Visual Studio. UnityVS enables Unity developers to utilize Visual Studio to author, browse and debug the code for Unity applications.  The acquisition helps Microsoft to grow the number of developers currently leveraging Microsoft Visual Studio for game development while the Unity team has shown their readiness to work with developers in support of their projects related to targeting or porting to Windows, across Windows desktop, Windows Store and Windows Phone.
