While the announcement of the new Microsoft App store pricing is final, the Windows 8 app store itself is was a little weak in the consumer preview, at least in terms of quality. This of course is easily explained by the fact that the beta version of Windows 8 doesn’t allow developers to charge for apps which explains why the most polished apps have yet to show up. All this should change on October 26th, the official, announced release date for Windows 8 at which point app developers will then have option to charge anywhere from $1.49 at the lowest possible price, all the way up to $999.99 for the most expensive app… good luck with that!. And while not many people will argue that $999.99 is too low, many will argue that not allowing $0.99 cent apps will create an unbalance in competition with iOS users. Read the full story here.
