Microsoft and Oracle’s new agreement offers Oracle’s database, Java, and WebLogic Server to Microsoft’s Azure and Hyper-V customers. Oracle will also certify and offer software support and full license mobility for Oracle customers running the company’s software on the Microsoft platform. In addition, Microsoft will offer Oracle Linux to the Azure and Hyper-V users, a sign that demonstrates Microsoft continues to embrace a more flexible approach than they have in the past and in an effort to remain attractive to existing Microsoft Server customers.
