Microsoft has announcement the addition and installation of both East Coast and West Coast US based datacenter options for their Azure infrastructure. This expands their overall coverage in the US from just San Antonio datacenter and the Chicago facilities to more than double their coverage. These are warehouses as big as any warehouse as you could imagine, filled to the roof with shipping container sized portable server rooms costing millions of dollars and while Microsoft hasn’t yet revealed the exact addresses of the new data centers.
