Microsoft has made many promises about the future of Windows Azure, beginning in October of 2010 when they published a list of upcoming features for Windows Azure and SQL Azure. Those features were to be delivered by the end of 2011, but developers are still waiting.

The Windows Azure Marketplace is set to accept apps beginning this fall. A BizTalk service that is part of the Windows Azure App Fabric is coming, but nobody has a clue when it will happen. Although a limited Community Technology Preview build of SQL Azure Reporting Services was released, there is still no word as to when the final version will be released.
