Microsoft will soon release a new app for their Windows Phone 7 OS that is expected to offer access to IPTV streaming. The new client codenamed “Rome”, is reported to give access to any Mediaroom-based service similar to Xbox 360. The ship date is still a secret however the project is alleged to have been started sometime last year and could possibly launch later this year.
