Homebrew Windows Phone 7 Development Officially Supported by Microsoft

Microsoft had stated back in January that they would support the Windows Phone 7 developer community’s effort to create homebrew applications through side-loading their WP7 devices. This week the ChevronWP7 team announced that they will be relaunching their unlocking tool for side-loading WP7 devices–with Microsoft’s support.

This time it will cost developers a small fee to cover the cost of developing the tool, which will enable developers to take on some serious development challenges without the fear that a Microsoft update will make all their work useless.
