Apple’s App Store policies are not compatible with the GPL terms. This means that software applying the GPL terms are not made available via the Apple App Store however, the Microsoft App Store does not specifically state the GPL, only that the Apple’s terms of use are not compatible with their policy. Microsoft on the other hand all together banned the GPL and GPL-type licenses outright.
