This week Microsoft will be releasing a bug fix in its update to the Entity Framework. The bug, which affected users who upgraded to EF 4.1, causes Visual Studio to produce an error message under certain programatic conditions.


The update does not inclcude any changes besides the bug fix and a name change. Along with the update, a new beta version of Entity Framework 4.2 will be released, with the full release expected in September. The beta will be released as a part of the EntityFramework.Preview NuGet.
