Windows Phone 7 is undergoing a radical change, and the latest preview, code-named Mango, is centered around personal and social communication, and ease of use–from an end-users perspective. Microsoft has provided some lucky folks with Mango devices to get a glimpse of what the future may bring for the Windows Operating System.

Scheduled to appear on devices this fall, Mango is supposed to be available as an upgrade as well as on various new devices. Microsoft is trying to focus the OS on activities, which is different than the typical app-centric Android and iOS platforms. Social networking takes on a new meaning with Mango, with a new Groups option bringing together a user’s Facebook and Twitter acquaintances, much like Android currently does using Facebook and Google Gmail contacts.
