Next week Microsoft will be releasing a patch with 16 updates to fix a large number of security vulnerabilities. This release corrects flaws and exploits in Windows, IE, Office, Microsoft .NET Framework, SQL Server, Visual Studio and Silverlight.

Last month’s Microsoft Patch Release only repaired a total of three flaws in Windows and Office PowerPoint. This update includes nine critical updates and seven important updates, including at least six which require the user to reboot the computer.

This updates comes after several high profile security breaches, and Microsoft is likely being proactive to ensure its products are up to date.
